SSN: How did you discover Supernatural?

Alice: One night, a week before the Supernatural season three premiere, I was flipping through channels and caught the last five minutes of “All Hell Breaks Loose Part II” in repeats. I was blown away! I had to know the name of this show and why I’d never heard of it before. Once I did, I ordered season one on Netflix. After about the third disk we cancelled it on Netflix and bought seasons 1 and 2 at the store. They couldn’t mail the disks fast enough! We spent the next few weeks catching up and rewatching and then caught up with what we missed from season three on iTunes. By the time “Fresh Blood” aired we were caught up and had a new favorite show.

SSN: What is your favorite Supernatural episode and why?

Alice: “Mystery Spot.” It was the first episode to completely blow me away. It was one of the greatest things I’d ever seen on television. I couldn’t believe how they managed to make me laugh, cry, and gasp constantly in just one hour. The dialogue was the best ever done on this show. Plus The Trickster is my favorite MOTW. I didn’t think anything could top “A Very Supernatural Christmas,” but it did.

SSN: What is your least favorite Supernatural episode and why?

Alice: It’s a tie between “Hammer of The Gods” and “Bugs.” “Bugs” was just a bad, bad episode overall and I use it as my yard stick for reviewing bad episodes (at least it wasn’t “Bugs.”) “Hammer of The Gods” was careless, stupid, and very offensive for no good reason. That kind of episode should not have been acceptable so late into the apocalypse storyline.

SSN: Who is your favorite villain?

Alice: Since I’m not counting The Trickster as a villain (he’s more like an antihero) I will say Ruby. I love how fans lost patience with her quick, but I had a feeling Kripke had her in mind for something really big and gave her a chance. Her storyline was plotted perfectly and the payoff was huge! The writers even went out of their way to make her look good and helpful, so you know she had to be evil. Even her death was extremely satisfying, Dean stabbing her while Sam held on to her tight.

SSN: How do you promote Supernatural?

Alice: I run The Winchester Family Business web site. I am the creator, editor in chief, head writer, moderator, and site developer. I built the site from scratch using my real world software development skills. I also cover Supernatural for other outlets, interview the cast and producers at Comic Con every year, and have written freelance articles for the show in Variety and TV Guide. Promoting Supernatural has become a major part of my daily life.

SSN: Do you prefer one of the boys over the other? If so, which one?

Alice: Oh my no! That would be like saying which child I love more. I understand Sam more (just like I relate to my son more) but I still love both equally.

SSN:If you could be in ANY Supernatural episode, which would you choose and why?

Alice: “The Girl With The Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo.” I would be one of the geeks in Tech Support! That is my day job and knowing that I’d be using my skills to hunt monsters sounds really fun.

SSN: What one character would you love to see back on Supernatural?

Alice: The Trickster/Gabriel. They should have never, ever killed him off. Oh yeah, that’s another reason why I hate “Hammer of the Gods” with a passion!

SSN: How do you want the show to end?

Alice: The Winchester family reunited, with John and Mary taking their boys home.

SSN: What other TV shows do you watch religiously?

Alice: Current or past? I was a huge “Chuck” fan and was rather sad to see it end, but it was time. I’ve also become a huge fan of “The Vampire Diaries” and “Nikita”, and not because I’ve gotten to interview the cast and producers numerous times. They are very well done shows. “Mythbusters” is also appointment television in our household.

SSN: Where can we find you on the Internet?
