SSN: How did you discover Supernatural?

Kim: I had seen advertisements for the show for the first couple seasons but I didn’t get into the show until season four (I know, bad me!) I got hooked on season four, and went back and reviewed everything in seasons 1-3 (I love the internet) and became hopelessly addicted to this wonderful show.

SSN: What is your favorite Supernatural episode and why?

Kim: Oh, this is very VERY hard…like asking which scene from “Star Wars” is my favorite. My favorite episode, strangely enough, is the season six season ender, “The Man Who Knew Too Much.” It’s a great episode, it left me with my heart in my mouth, and it encompasses the entire show in one simple line – when Sam says “I’m not leaving my brother alone out there.” That’s the philosophy of the entire series in one sentence. The brotherly bond between Sam and Dean is what makes the show so great.

SSN: What is your least favorite Supernatural episode and why?

Kim: “Sex And Violence” – and I’m not just saying that because Sam gets it on with Dr. Cara (nasty skank, scratch her eyes out); I’m better than that. No, the reason I don’t like this episode is because at the end of the episode, you can literally point at the screen and say “This is it – this is where Sam and Dean’s relationship starts to truly splinter.” And I don’t like that – it depressed me for days…

SSN: Who is your favorite villain?

Kim: Crowley. Yes he’s a demon. Yes, he’s a liar. Yes, he’s a backstabbing snake…but he’s just so damn cheerful about it! Crowley is so wonderfully, unrepentantly corrupt, and does it with such flair and panache that you have to like him in spite of yourself.

SSN: How do you promote Supernatural?

Kim: First and foremost, I spread the Winchester gospel through my Supernatural podcast, Platinum Roses’ Garden, where I review each weeks’ episode with my own…::ahem:: unique style. I talk about the show with people that I think might be interested (science fiction and/or fantasy fans), and I bring it up every chance I get on the other podcast I co-host, Subject:CINEMA, much to the chagrin of my co-host husband. I also write fan fiction dealing with Supernatural (among other shows) and post my work on FanFiction.Net.

SSN: Do you prefer one of the boys over the other? If so, which one?

Kim: I didn’t come up with the name “Samazon” for no reason, you know! Besides the obvious physical attractions (and believe me, there’s a lot of them), Sam’s intelligence, his sensitivity, and his wry sense of humor are big draws for me. That, and I can’t resist a good pair of Puppy Eyes.

SSN: If you could be in ANY Supernatural episode, which would you choose and why?

Kim: One where I played a female that DIDN’T die! But seriously, I have to go back to “The Man Who Knew Too Much”, because I want to be there side by side with Sam, Dean, and Bobby, trying to figure out what the hell to do now that Castiel has proclaimed himself God.

SSN: What one character would you love to see back on Supernatural?

Kim: Again this is a very hard question, there are so many. I would love to see the return somehow of Gabriel. I miss that archangel so much! ::sob::

SSN: How do you want the show to end?

Kim: End? What is this “end” you speak of? Oh, right, I have to be serious here…Sam and Dean climb into the Impala and drive off down America’s highways toward another hunt – and right onto the big screen for “Supernatural – The Movie”!

SSN: What other TV shows do you watch religiously?

Kim: Besides Supernatural, I am a huge CSI fan (Vegas, please, though New York is OK..especially when Kyle Gallner is on…), I always watch NCIS – really great chemistry among the cast, and really well written. I love the Law And Order shows, particularly Criminal Intent (love that Vincent D’Onofrio!). I am just discovering Leverage (I know I’m a late bloomer). As for classics, I will always love Star Trek (Classic and Next Gen), British cult classic The Tomorrow People, Mystery Science Theater 3000, and I will admit to being a pro wrestling fan of over ::gulp:: three decades.
